Remove old gas boiler due to issues with the flue. We have installed new ehc 9kw electric boiler in a new location. This has been wired as s plan system but favouring hot water. Immersion heater wiring has been reconfigured to prevent both boilers running at the same time and over loading supply. All in all another happy client with electric heating and hot water. Called to no hot water from electric unvented cylinder. This was due to undersized wiring, burnt out fused spur, and no water conditioner which has caused limescale build up on elements. We have replaced both elements, installed a water conditioner, cleaned limescale out from bottom of tank, and upgraded wiring to correct size. Fused spur was replaced with a 20amp isolator. Client was getting poor results with heating and hot water from a solid fuel Rayburn stove, with back boiler. Existing system had undersized and incorrect cylinder fitted. We have installed a 300 litre vented thermal store. This is heated by the rayburn back boiler with gravity fed flow and return. It has a electric boiler, sealed system for back up and lazy days. It has a spare coil for solar thermal system. A laddomat pump makes system run efficiently. The thermal store Supplies radiators and hot water with no problems.
